Anita Endrezze is an author and artist. Her publications include:

at the helm of twilight (Broken Moon Press, 1993): a book of poems which won the Weyerhaeuser-Bumbershoot Award and the Washington State Author’s Award

Throwing fire at the Sun, water at the Moon (U of Az Press, 2000): a book about her family history told in legends, myths, fiction, and poems

Breaking Edges (Red Bird Press, 2012): a book of poems and art

Butterfly Moon (U of Az Press, Fall 2012): a book of short stories

In addition, Anita has published several books of poems in France and England as well as a children’s book in Denmark.

Her art has appeared on book covers for her own writing and on other national anthologies/literary magazines and for other poets. She has exhibited in WA, England, Wales, Denmark. Media: acrylic paint, collage, colored pencil, watercolor.

Anita Endrezze has an MA in Creative Writing from EWU, a B.A in English Ed/Secondary, an A.A from SFCC. She has taught in colleges and universities as well as in the public schools. She’s participated in the Artist in the Schools Program and was an Inquiring Mind speaker for the Washington Council for the Humanities.
